Graeme Alford was a successful lawyer in the 1970s who lost his way due to alcohol addiction. His addiction destroyed his legal career and marriage, and led to him being jailed three times, the last for armed robbery in 1982. Facing a simple choice of "Give Up or Get Up," he began a journey of recovery.
Since his release, Graeme has rebuilt his life, becoming a "Comeback King" as he was called on Channel 2's Australian Story. He has been sober for over 30 years and credits his recovery to his connection with the 12-step model. He has also worked as a laborer, completed a marathon, remarried, and has helped raise over $250,000 for Life Education, a charity he also served on the board of for five years. Graeme has authored three best-selling books: Never Give Up, Inspirational Brainfood, and Stop Sucking on Lemons.

For over 25 years, Graeme has been a professional keynote speaker, presenting to thousands of organizations worldwide. In 1990, he founded his own business, bringing world-renowned business authorities to Australia, including Tom Peters and Stephen Covey. In 1997, he created the World Masters of Business, an event that drew over 16,000 Australians to hear General Norman Schwarzkopf and Lee Iacocca speak. He was also responsible for bringing former Russian President Mikhail Gorbachev to Australia in 1999 and Nelson Mandela and Rubin "Hurricane" Carter to Melbourne in 2000.
Graeme is known for his compelling and professional delivery style, which combines his legal background and vast business experience with just the right amount of humor for serious topics. He is equally comfortable giving a keynote presentation as he is conducting a two-day workshop, and he prepares each presentation to be specifically tailored to the client's brief.
